At the end of the conference, the Prague Declaration was adopted. Its main objective is to sum up the current state of the Europe-wide effort to use information and communication technologies in healthcare for the benefit of patients as well as economic efficiency of the health sector. It also aims to determine further steps to be taken at the level of Member States as well as European institutions. At the same time, a common European eHealth area should be built, where individual national systems will be able to communicate with one another. Integrating eHealth solutions into national health strategies of the Member States will also be of great importance.
Today, Czech Health Minister Daniela Filipiová opened one of the main expert conferences entitled “eHealth for Individuals, Society and Economy”. This is already the 7th conference in a series of eHealth conferences. 500 participants from 37 European countries will attend the event.
