In the 90ties almost all hospitals, pharmacies and doctors in the Nordic countries implemented IT systems large scale. The challenge in the last 10 years has been to create continuity in health by connecting these thousands of independent IT systems. The next step would focus on patient access to own patient data. Good examples from the Nordic countries.

Biography
Henrik Bjerregaard Jensen has 20 years of experience in the field of eHealth. 1987 - 1994 he was managing director of Health Informatics in the County of Funen and since 1994 he has been CEO of MedCom. Henrik Bjerregaard Jensen holds a MA from the University of Aarhus in political science, economy and planning. He has participated in numerous European research and IT developing projects since the beginning of the 1990'ties.
