SESSIONS
Governments across Europe are spending money on e-health. Most of this money is wasted. This presentation will explore the reasons for this. We will also present examples of successful e-health initiatives and will discuss what made them successful. Governments should invest in e-health only where there is a clear need for it and when it is part of a sustainable programme of systemic change. They should focus their attention on what they expect clinicians and patients to do with e-health technology, not on the technology itself.
