Biography

Mr Richard Raši, M.D., MPH, graduated with honours at Faculty of Medicine in Košice in 1995. In 1998 he completed the first-degree specialization study in surgery and in 2004 the second-degree specialization study in traumatology. In the same year he also completed a postgraduate study in health management at the Slovak Health University and was granted the title Master of Public Health (MPH). At present, he is a distant student at Department of device and biomedical engineering of the Technical University Košice.

From 1995 to 2006, Mr. Raši has worked at Department of Traumatology of the Faculty Hospital Košice, where he became also the hospital Deputy Director for preventive and curative care in 2004.

In March 2007 he was appointed Director of the Faculty Hospital in Bratislava.

Minister of Health since June 2008.
